MEHSOSAI

Reuniting Roots, Rekindling Futures

Our aim is to remain united while investing in Societal/Humanitarian impacts through constructive development/value inputs and collaborations in Education, Health, Science/Technology, Finance, Socio-politics, and Idea Platforms/Fora generally.

Founded on January 22, 1965, Methodist High School, Arigbajo, Ogun State, stands as a beacon of faith, learning, and service. Established through the vision of the Association of Methodists of Abeokuta Origins Church, Lagos branch, the school became the first full-fledged secondary school in the Egba-Ifo District Council — now Ifo and Ewekoro Local Government Areas of Ogun State.

Guided by its enduring motto, “Education for Service,” the school has continued to uphold the dream of its founding fathers — to nurture generations of students in the finest traditions of academic excellence, moral uprightness, and leadership through service.

From its humble beginnings with 66 pioneer students and three staff members led by the late Mr. Theophilus Folorunso Odubanjo, Methodist High School, Arigbajo has grown into one of the distinguished educational institutions in Egbaland, producing countless professionals, innovators, and nation-builders across Nigeria and beyond.

🌍 Methodist High School Old Students Association (MEHSOSAI)

The Methodist High School Old Students Association (MEHSOSAI) unites generations of alumni who share a common bond of heritage, excellence, and purpose. As custodians of the school’s legacy, MEHSOSAI continues to support and sustain development projects that strengthen the school’s impact and inspire new generations of students.

In recent years, the Association has spearheaded remarkable initiatives, including:

  • The commissioning of the Late Olumide Biyi Legacy Project — a block of classrooms and a staff room built in honour of the former National President.

  • Awards and recognitions celebrating distinguished alumni who have excelled in their chosen careers.

  • Community and cultural initiatives, such as quiz competitions, cultural displays, and free medical outreach programs.

These projects reflect MEHSOSAI’s commitment to love, unity, and service — values proudly embodied in its 58th Founders’ Day Celebration, themed “Celebration of Love and Unity.”
